The European Citizens’ Consultations 2009 (ECC 2009) bring together citizens from all 27 EU Member States to discuss - with each other and then with policy-makers - key challenges facing the EU. ECC 2009 focuses on the issues currently of greatest concern to EU citizens in the run-up to the 2009 European elections, seeking to answer the question: “What can the EU do to shape our economic and social future in a globalised world?”

European Citizens’ Consultations 2007

The European Citizens’ Consultations provided the first-ever opportunity for members of the public to debate the future of the European Union across the boundaries of geography and language. At the heart of the dialogue are the National Citizens’ Consultations – simultaneous, interlinked debates in all 27 Member States. The main result is the European Citizen's Perspective, presented to the politicians.

National Deliberative Poll “Policies toward the Roma in Bulgaria. Ghettoes, Crime, Education”

The Second National Deliberative Poll in Bulgaria was initiated and conducted by the CLS on Policies toward the Roma in Bulgaria on April 14-15, 2007 in Sofia. Thd national Deliberative Poll® of Bulgaria produced many strong and statistically significant changes in the direction of an integrationist perspective. The scientific sample of 255 residents drawn from around the country by Alpha Research spent the weekend of April 14-15, 2007 deliberating about three issues affecting the Roma: Housing, Crime and Education.
